The Inner Wheel Clubs of Kandy, Kandy Metropolitan, Katugastota and Matale launched their District Project on Childhood Cancer by meeting with a little boy with leukemia and his mother and giving her the first month’s funds for his treatment. An additional cash donation is also donated to the family each month for other expenses.

The secretary of the club represented the club on invitation at a public meeting held at the “National Hospital” Kandy regarding awareness of tuberculosis which is rapidly spread in the Central Province.
Project Martha
The Inner Wheel Club of Katugastota together with the Horizon Campus – Kandy Regional Centre and the Interact Club of Seethadevi Girl’s College Kandy donated essential items to 35 pregnant mothers in and around the Rikillagaskada area.
Donation of toys and books
Inner Wheel District 322 donated toys to the mother & infant wards and some books to the adolescent wards at the National Institute of Mental Health and the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital
Donation to the Diabetes and Endocrine Unit
A cash donation was made to the Diabetes and Endocrine Unit of the National Hospital Kandy.
