Donation to Jayasispura Kanishka Vidyala – Inner Wheel District 322

Provided 200 packets each of Samaposha, milk powder, chocolate biscuits, marie biscuits and 200 chunky chocolate bars to the students of Jayasispura Kanishka Vidyala, Bakamuna, Polonnaruwa. Each child was also gifted a new school bag. New cricket shoes were donated for the girls’ leather ball cricket team. A bus was sponsored to transport the girls’ cricket team.

Singithi Pola

Visited the “Singithi Pola” run by the mothers of the students of St. Martin’s Creche.

Women empowerment

Sponsored 12 ladies from WIN Her Jaffna to empower them through an 8 week course of a sewing programme at Singer Academy. Inner Wheel Club of Jaffna supported to coordinate this project.

Donation of Books Spoken English at the Public Library

The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo gifted books to both children and adults to SEPL (Spoken English at the Public Library), a reading programme run by volunteers, free of charge in the Colombo Public library. By conducting book clubs and interactive English courses, the SEPL aims to improve the confidence and speaking ability in English…

A poster was designed and shared on social media to observe Children’s Day.

Donation to elders’ home

Supported two elders’ homes just outside of Colombo with various donations. A wheelchair and several walking sticks were gifted to St. Joseph’s Home in Negombo. Walking sticks were donated to Shanta Seva Padanama Elders’ Home in Bopitiya, Kandana. The beneficiaries were grateful for the generous and useful gifts.
