Celebration of International Literacy Day
Celebrated International Literacy Day with a special guest author Ameena Hussein. Ameena shared her experiences that went into researching her best-selling book, “Chasing Tall Tales and Mystics: Ibn Battuta in Sri Lanka”. Food and fellowship were enjoyed by all after Ameena’s riveting lecture.

Mobile medical and eye camp
Supported an eye and health camp held in Moratumulla for disadvantaged senior citizens in this impoverished area. This was done in conjunction with HelpAge Sri Lanka. Environmental Education and Conservation project
The club conducted an Environmental Education and Conservation project in two schools in the Hambantota District. 200 plus children in junior and secondary grades benefited from this program in the collaboration with the dynamic youthwing @wnpssl.org.
