IIW President Trish Doglous along with the District Executive Committee visited the National Institute for Mental Health in Angoda to handover the donation by the Inner Wheel District 322.
Essential requirements including wheel chairs, water filters, fans, adult pampers, stationary, plates, cups, cleaning items, light bulbs and dry rations were handed over. 100 inmates were provided with snacks. A magic show was displayed to the patients and support staff as entertainment.
The team visited the wards, recreational center, rehabilitation center and the farm maintained by the NIMH.
The activities of the NIMH meets the Shine a Light themes of “Mental wellness brighten lives” and “Brighten lives for the future”.
