Donated 23 pairs of custom-made prescription spectacles to students and staff members of a local school using high quality frames gifted by a member. The recipients eyes were tested free of charge at the Eye Clinic at the Centre for Handicapped and the cost of the lenses was met by members of the club. A leg brace was also gifted to the Centre for donation to a needy recipient.

A 100 feet tube well was donated to four farming families in the dry zone of the country providing water for cultivation as well as for domestic use.
IIW Centennial Limb
A new Endowment Fund was set up during the visit of IIW President Trish Douglas to provide for a limb annually on 10th January to celebrate the establishment of International Inner Wheel. The first limb was gifted to a 16 year old school girl.
Marking Inner Wheel Day
Marked International Inner Wheel Day by gifting new and nearly new clothes, materials, curtains, shoes, accessories and sewing and knitting materials to a Girl’s Home near Kandy. A cash donation was also provided for underwear for the girls and 5 kilos of rice were given for their use.
Donation of walker
A walker was gifted to an elderly woman in the Hill Country and was couriered to her through the Centre for Handicapped.
District project on Women Empowerment
Provided a 5 month-long scholarship to a final year dental student who is currently awaiting her results and the assignment of an internship.
Intercity meeting and friendship day celebration
A joint intercity meeting with Inner Wheel Clubs of Kandy, Kandy Metropolitan, Katugastota,& Matale was held along with Friendship Day celebrations.
