Christmas party at the Children of Joy Home

Held a charity Christmas party at the Children of Joy Home in Wattala, home to 19 girls aged 4 to 16. A fun-filled evening was full of music, games like “pin the nose on the reindeer,” prizes, and delicious food. It concluded with the presentation of gifts of school bags, essential school supplies, CR books, socks, and goodie bags that consisted of a few fun items the children were delighted to receive.

Donation to elders’ home

Supported two elders’ homes just outside of Colombo with various donations. A wheelchair and several walking sticks were gifted to St. Joseph’s Home in Negombo. Walking sticks were donated to Shanta Seva Padanama Elders’ Home in Bopitiya, Kandana. The beneficiaries were grateful for the generous and useful gifts.

Cleanliness and good sanitation in school

Inner Wheel Club of Colombo and the INNER WHEEL CLUB OF SINGAPORE WEST partnered together in the centennial year of Inner Wheel to provide sanitation and hygiene by donating the Girls toilets at the Pahala Mattala Primary School in Lunugumvehera, Hambantota .The rural school is located on the perimeters of the Lunugumvehera national park and…

Observed Breast Cancer Month

A poster was designed and shared on social media as a way of creating awareness on Breast Cancer Month.

Donation of sewing machine

Donated a juki sewing machine to a deserving self employed mother.

Donation of medications and other essential items

Donated urgently requested medicines as well as an umbrella, a wall fan, four packs of adult diapers and a box of milk biscuits to the residents at Cheshire Home, a home for the differently abled. This is the oldest and longest-running project of the club.

Donation of medications

District project for the Inner Wheel Clubs of Colombo, Colombo Nawa Udana , Anuradhapura and Jaffna was completed. Medication and syringes where handed over to Cancer Hospital children’s ward.
