World Elders Day – Provided lunch and essential items to Sanasuma Elders Home

World Elders’ Day –

The Inner Wheel Club of Wattala provided lunch to inmates and helpers at “Sanasuma”, Elders Home, Good Shepherd Convent, Nayakakanda, Wattala.

Sanitary items, bed linen, towels etc were provided to the inmates.

Music and singing were organized by the Club for the inmates, who had an enjoyable time singing and dancing.

Donation of Chairs to the Female Ward – Mental Health, Angoda

The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo West visited the National Institute of Mental Health, Angoda, to observe World Mental Health Day. The Club also donated 30 chairs to ward no. 8, the female ward.

Provided Dry Rations and Breakfast to Needy families

Charity Project – Under the Charity Project, dry rations and breakfast were provided to five needy families in the local community. This initiative aimed to offer immediate relief and nourishment to families struggling to meet basic needs, bringing smiles to their faces and a sense of hope.

Provided a mid-day meal and essentials to a Girls’ Home

International Charity Day was celebrated by providing a meal at a girls’ home in Kohuwala and distributing other essential items to the children.

Joint tree planting project

Participated in the tree planting project done jointly by the Inner Wheel District 322 and Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. Guava, mango and soursop plants were planted at a member’s residence.
