To celebrate the International Charity Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Wattala organised a Book Drive at St. Anne’s Church and St. Anne’s Secondary School.
The Book Drive was a great success through which 225 books were collected. The books collected will be donated to deserving Schools/ Children in the vicinity throughout September in commemoration of the National Literacy Month.
Dry rations were donated to a needy family.
Donated kitchen equipment to a special need school in Mirihana for their home science room.
An ongoing project was commenced where a very deserving A/L student will be given his tuition fees every month for a period of 12 months.

Participated in the tree planting project done jointly by the Inner Wheel District 322 and Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. Guava, mango and soursop plants were planted at a member’s residence.
On World Charity Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Kandy Metropolitan donated lunch packets, eggs, butter cake, and tea to the Dialysis unit of National Hospital Kandy.
