Weekly classes were held at St. Martin’s Creche, Colombo 5. The sewing classes were attended by mothers of children at St. Martin’s Creche who would like to learn to sew in order to have an additional source of income. These hardworking ladies showed great dedication by attending the classes which were led by volunteers of the club. The students who show promise will be sponsored to follow a further course at the Singer Fashion Academy.

Women Empowerment Project (Sewing)
A talented and promising young girl identified from a programme the previous year was sponsored for a comprehensive 6 month course in Fashion Designing at the SINGER Academy. A batch of 8 women from the City Mission Colombo, was sponsored for a basic sewing programme at SINGER Academy.
