The Inner Wheel Clubs of Kandy, Kandy Metropolitan, Katugastota and Matale launched their District Project on Childhood Cancer by meeting with a little boy with leukemia and his mother and giving her the first month’s funds for his treatment. Donation to 611 school children
Joined with the “Sleeping Children Around the World” Association of Canada and the Rotary Club of Kelaniya to give 611 school children from 11 schools in the Hunasgiriya area bedding, as well as school shoes and socks, school bags and books. Biscuits and milk for all 611 children and snacks for helpers were also provided.
