Ongoing quarterly donations – Inner Wheel District 322

Ongoing project of quarterly donations to three children’s homes, an elders’ home and the Centre for Handicapped, Kundasale towards incidentals and treats for the children and elders.

Donation of walker

A walker was gifted to an elderly woman in the Hill Country and was couriered to her through the Centre for Handicapped.

Donation to Meewathura School

Donated stationery worth and other school related items to 30 poor children in Meewathura school before the start of the new school term.

Donation of a Limb on Charter Day

A prosthetic limb was donated on 14th February to a forty year old woman to commemorate the Club’s Charter Day. Based on an Endowment Fund, it will be gifted annually to a woman or a girl child.

Christmas treat for preschoolers

Thirty seven children at a Kandy creche were given a Christmas treat including candy and cake and a visit from Santa bearing gifts.

Donation of a leg brace

A leg brace was gifted to the Centre for Handicapped for donation to a needy recipient.

Celebration of International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day 2024 was celebrated by creating a 4th Endowment Fund at the Centre for Handicapped. The interest generated by the Endowment will be used to gift an artificial limb to a woman or a girl on the 8th of March every year from now on. This year’s limb was given to the young…
