Supported an eye and health camp held in Moratumulla for disadvantaged senior citizens in this impoverished area. This was done in conjunction with HelpAge Sri Lanka. The camp had doctors checking height, weight, blood pressure, random blood sugar and examining the eyes of these elders. A lecture on general health was given covering nutrition, healthy lifestyle and medication. Those in need will be provided with spectacles within a few days once the prescriptions have been completed. While waiting, these elderly folks were given fruit juice to beat the heat of the day. In all, 150 senior citizens benefitted from this well-organized health camp.
