Joint tree planting project – Inner Wheel District 322

Participated in the tree planting project done jointly by the Inner Wheel District 322 and Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. Guava, mango and soursop plants were planted at a member’s residence.

Donation of an Arificial Limb

The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy donated an artificial limb to a girl born with a defect that affects her ability to walk. This donation by IWC Kandy is ongoing; this is the third time she has received a custom-made limb.

Donation of sanitary napkins

Donated 160 sanitary napkins to the Nayakkanda Convent in Hendala, Wattala. This project was carried out under the cause “ Status of Women”.

Donation of Story Books to the Library – Digana Rehabilitation Center

The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy Metropolitan donated English and Sinhala storybooks to the library of the Digana Rehabilitation Center.

Donation of formula to a mother diagnosed with breast cancer

Donated 4 packs of ‘NAN Formula 1’ to a mother who had been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and was unable to nurse her infant of 3 months.

Awareness Programme on Wellness of Women for Pregnant Mothers

Innerwheel club of Wattala together with the members of the Urban Council, Maternity Clinic, Wattala organised an awareness programme on Wellness of Women. The programme was attended by 21 expectant mothers, some of whom were accompanied by their husbands.
