Installed a water purification plant in lieu of Ramazan Festival which falls in April. Wattakkandal Muslim Maha Vidyalaya, Ismailpura, Puttalam was selected as the children do not have pure drinking water in that area. The school has approximately 600 students.

Celebration of International Literacy Day

Water purification project
Completed the 2nd water purifier project for the year at Neboda Vidyalaya in Horowpathana, Anuradhapura, to provide clean drinking water to children and teachers in the school. Many children and adults are suffering from kidney diseases in this area due to the high content of cadmium and arsenic in the water.
Donation of Essential Items to Surasa Special Education School and home, Moratuwa
The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo West donated fans, plate racks and few other essentials to “Surasa Special Education School and home in Moratuwa”. The inmates of the home were also given a treat in the evening.
Flood relief programme
Distributed 500 lunch packets and 700 water bottles (5 litre bottles ) in Pitipana ,Diyagama and Bulathsinhala which are remote areas in Kalutara District where people were affected by flood due to recent extreme weather conditions. Even though the water level has receded, the people are still unable to live in their homes.
Donation of dry rations
Inner wheel club of Colombo West donated dry rations to 5 low income families who were affected with kidney diseases in Anuradhapura area .
