The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy presented educational & informative books to a girls’ school library in Kandy.

District Project – Childhood Cancer

The Inner Wheel Clubs of Kandy, Kandy Metropolitan, Katugastota and Matale launched their District Project on Childhood Cancer by meeting with a little boy with leukemia and his mother and giving her the first month’s funds for his treatment. An additional cash donation is also donated to the family each month for other expenses.

Donation of an Artificial Limb

The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy donated an artificial limb – the recipient lost her leg due to being trampled by an elephant on a sugar cane plantation in Kantale.

Treats for Children

Throughout each Inner Wheel Year members provide occasional treats for disadvantaged children. Donation of an Arificial Limb

The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy donated an artificial limb to a girl born with a defect that affects her ability to walk. This donation by IWC Kandy is ongoing; this is the third time she has received a custom-made limb.

Contribution towards the Christmas Party for Students at the Special Needs School

The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy contributed towards the Christmas Party for the students at a special needs school. The students were provided a fun time during Christmas season.The students sang and played games with the help of the teachers at the school.
