Donation of Spectacles

The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo West donated spectacles to an eye camp at Mallika Home, in collaboration with D S Jayasinghe opticians.

Distributed 500 lunch packets and 700 water bottles (5 litre bottles ) in Pitipana ,Diyagama and Bulathsinhala which are remote areas in Kalutara District where people were affected by flood due to recent extreme weather conditions. Even though the water level has receded, the people are still unable to live in their homes.

Donation to National Institute of Mental Health

Donated paint and supplies to paint ward number 8, and it’s corridors of the National Institute of Mental Health—Angoda, in lieu of International Inner Wheel Day. They also donated a water purification plant to the ward.

Sponsoring a medical student

Sponsored a medical student at the Karapitiya hospital.

Donation of Dry Rations & Milk Food for the Infants of Mother Theresa’s Home, Moratuwa

The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo West donated dry rations and milk food for the infants of Mother Theresa’s home in Moratuwa.

Donation of wheel chair and cash donation

The Club collaborated with the Centre for Handicapped to donate a special model wheelchair to a farmer. The club also arranged the transport and delivery of it. To reciprocate the kind gesture of the Centre for Handicapped, the Club made a donation of Rs 150,000/= to the Centre to be used to buy equipment needed…
