Supported a courageous mother, Rukshika, in her small-scale catering venture by donating a rice cooker, 2 large saucepans, a steamer and a gas cylinder. The owner of “Ruk’s Kitchen”, Rukshika is using the proceeds of her business to put her three daughters through school. It is truly a family affair as her husband supports the enterprise with revenue from his trishaw fares and the daughters, who are skilled in IT, do the marketing for their mother’s business.

Donation to elders’ home
Supported two elders’ homes just outside of Colombo with various donations. A wheelchair and several walking sticks were gifted to St. Joseph’s Home in Negombo. Walking sticks were donated to Shanta Seva Padanama Elders’ Home in Bopitiya, Kandana. The beneficiaries were grateful for the generous and useful gifts.

Observing World Environment Day
Marked #worldenvironmentday2024🌱💚🌍 at the Pahala Mattala primary school in Lunugumvehera, where the children participated in an art competition to mark 🌎 world environment day on June 5th. The children were educated on an earlier date on the effects of climate change and its effects on the environment and asked to capture their lesson’s on paper.
