International Day of Charity –
The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo visited the residents of the Shantha Seva Home for the Elders in Bopitiya. A TV was donated along with a much-needed ceiling fan. Lunch was provided for the elders and the Inner Wheel ladies spent time chatting and listening to the stories recounted by these senior citizens.
Presented the 12 sponsored students of the 8 weeks’ sewing programme course with a pack of required sewing tools.

Donated beautiful pre-loved children’s books to the Children of Joy Home in celebration of Literacy Month. The children were also gifted biscuits and chocolates by the club.
Marked #worldenvironmentday2024🌱💚🌍 at the Pahala Mattala primary school in Lunugumvehera, where the children participated in an art competition to mark 🌎 world environment day on June 5th. The children were educated on an earlier date on the effects of climate change and its effects on the environment and asked to capture their lesson’s on paper.
Donated two tube wells to two war widows in Killinoch for sustainable farming, water for their family’s needs and the adjoining neighbour hood.
