Started the first day of dental screening and basic treatments for 62 kids at “Child Action Lanka” in celebration of the IIW Centenary year. on behalf of the club examined the kids with dental care, out of which 42 kids were referred to her clinic for treatment.

District Project – Childhood Cancer
The Inner Wheel Clubs of Kandy, Kandy Metropolitan, Katugastota and Matale launched their District Project on Childhood Cancer by meeting with a little boy with leukemia and his mother and giving her the first month’s funds for his treatment. An additional cash donation is also donated to the family each month for other expenses.
Donation to the Senehasa Childrens Resource Centre
Made a cash donation to the “Senehasa Childrens Resource Centre” to provide spectacles and financial support to children in need at the centre. This centre is administered by senehasa foundation with the aim of offering therapeutic, educational and social support to children with special needs.
Donation of an artificial limb
Completed another worthy project by providing an artificial limb to a deserving person.
Cookery demonstration
A fund raising cookery demonstration sponsored by Nestle Lanka was held. The objective of the project being to be a source of strength to the woman of low income families who can start a small business of their own. Proceeds of tickets to be in aid of charity.
Donation of monthly allowance
Donates the month allowance to a volunteer teacher at the “Digana Rehabilitation Centre”. This project has been carried out for a period of more than one year up to now & will be continued.
Eye camp
Conducted an eye camp at the Orange Field tea factory in Panwilatenne. The beneficiaries were the staff and workers of the establishment, numbering over 75. Reading glasses were issued according to requirements free of charge.
