Celebrated the Club birthday through a fellowship picnic lunch with its members.

Donation to Jayasispura Kanishka Vidyala

Provided 200 packets each of Samaposha, milk powder, chocolate biscuits, marie biscuits and 200 chunky chocolate bars to the students of Jayasispura Kanishka Vidyala, Bakamuna, Polonnaruwa. Celebration of International Literacy Day

Celebrated International Literacy Day with a special guest author Ameena Hussein. Ameena shared her experiences that went into researching her best-selling book, “Chasing Tall Tales and Mystics: Ibn Battuta in Sri Lanka”. Food and fellowship were enjoyed by all after Ameena’s riveting lecture.

Donation of sewing machines

Donated two sewing machines to the WIN Her Jaffna group who successfully completed the sewing classes

Donation of gift bag

Donated a reusable gift bag with sweets and stationary to the children of St. Martin’s Creche.

Donation of medications and other essential items

Donated urgently requested medicines as well as an umbrella, a wall fan, four packs of adult diapers and a box of milk biscuits to the residents at Cheshire Home, a home for the differently abled. This is the oldest and longest-running project of the club.

Environmental Education and Conservation project

The club conducted an Environmental Education and Conservation project in two schools in the Hambantota District. 200 plus children in junior and secondary grades benefited from this program in the collaboration with the dynamic youthwing @wnpssl.org.
