Donated children’s books to the Sunshine day care & pre school in Trincomalee to support the English programme at the school. The Club sponsors the English teacher at the school.
Observing World Environment Day
Marked #worldenvironmentday2024đ±đđ at the Pahala Mattala primary school in Lunugumvehera, where the children participated in an art competition to mark đ world environment day on June 5th. The children were educated on an earlier date on the effects of climate change and its effects on the environment and asked to capture their lesson’s on paper.
Donation of bicycles
Donated six bicycles to students in Poonakaryn, Killinochi to encourage them to continue their education in these areas as they face transport issues in the villages they live in.
Donation of tube wells
Donated two tube wells to two war widows in Killinoch for sustainable farming, water for their familyâs needs and the adjoining neighbour hood.
District project on Childhood Cancer
District project for the Inner Wheel Clubs of Colombo, Colombo Nawa Udana , Anuradhapura and Jaffna was completed. Medication and syringes where handed over to Cancer Hospital children’s ward.
Donation of oxygen cylinders
Donated two oxygen cylinders to the Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama, for the benefit of critically ill cancer patients.
Women Empowerment Project (Sewing)
A talented and promising young girl identified from a programme the previous year was sponsored for a comprehensive 6 month course in Fashion Designing at the SINGER Academy. A batch of 8 women from the City Mission Colombo, was sponsored for a basic sewing programme at SINGER Academy.

Empowering women and teaching them sewing skills & making them self-sufficient to start their own business was conducted jointly by the Inner Wheel Clubs of Colombo, Colombo Nawa Udana, Anuradhapura & Jaffna. #womeninneedand #singersrilanka helped run the program successfully in Jaffna
Donation to therapeutic Counselling and Training Centre
Members donated much needed funds to the Therapeutic Counselling and Training Centre in Colombo 15. This centre is dedicated to providing support and assistance to underprivileged individuals, offering speech therapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy services twice a week to to people between the ages of five and thirty, who have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy…
