The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo empower women through sewing programmes. A kurtha-making course was started for a batch of students. These additional sewing skills will help the women from less privileged backgrounds to earn money from home, thereby contributing to the family income.

Joint tree planting project
Participated in the tree planting project done jointly by the Inner Wheel District 322 and Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. The fruit trees planted will be gifted to homes for seniors and orphanages.

Women empowerment
Sponsored 12 ladies from WIN Her Jaffna to empower them through an 8 week course of a sewing programme at Singer Academy. Inner Wheel Club of Jaffna supported to coordinate this project.

Mobile medical and eye camp
Supported an eye and health camp held in Moratumulla for disadvantaged senior citizens in this impoverished area. This was done in conjunction with HelpAge Sri Lanka. Provided 200 packets each of Samaposha, milk powder, chocolate biscuits, marie biscuits and 200 chunky chocolate bars to the students of Jayasispura Kanishka Vidyala, Bakamuna, Polonnaruwa.
