The 1st Cancer Awareness Programme –
The breast cancer awareness program with opportunistic cervical cancer awareness and prevention, organized by the Inner Wheel District 322, Sri Lanka and Maldives, held at Lanka Hospital was a great success with over 100 participants.
The session was very informative, and the two doctors who spoke on the relevant subjects were amazing, sharing a wealth of knowledge with us.
The AGM and the installation was held virtually on 25th June 2022. The event was well attended with over 130 participants.
The first District Committee Meeting for 2023/24 was held. This was followed by a scrumptious lunch.
25 children at the children’s ward in the Maharagama Cancer Hospital were given with cash donation by Inner Wheel Clubs of Jaela / Kandana, Negombo & Wattala.
The event was held on 24th June 2023 and was well attended with over 120 members.
Donated dry rations and clothes to needy families. They also donated king coconut plants to home-grading families and text books to the needy children.
