The IW District Extension Services Organiser 2023-24, Shyamali Fernando handed over the Charter Certificate to the President Ibthishama Ahmed Saeed of the Inner Wheel Club of Maldives during the 39th Annual General Meeting of the District 322, held at Marino Beach Hotel, Colombo on 29th June 2024.
It was a proud moment for the Inner Wheel District 322, Sri Lanka & Maldives.
Handed made a cash donation to Indira Cancer Trust to buy medicine for children affected with cancer.
Inner Wheel District 322 donated toys to the mother & infant wards and some books to the adolescent wards at the National Institute of Mental Health and the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital
The Inner Wheel Clubs of Kandy, Kandy Metropolitan, Katugastota and Matale launched their District Project on Childhood Cancer by meeting with a little boy with leukemia and his mother and giving her the first month’s funds for his treatment. An additional cash donation is also donated to the family each month for other expenses.
The AGM and the installation was held virtually on 25th June 2022. The event was well attended with over 130 participants.
