IIW President Trish Douglas presented a new artificial limb to Mrs. Devakumari, who lost a limb in an accident in 2013, met with new limb-users, currently staying at the Center while they become accustomed to their prostheses, and was entertained by members of the Jolly Youngster’s Club set up by the Centre for Children with Downs Syndrome.

A donation of bedding and paint was made to the Bopitiya Elders Home and a painter was commissioned to paint the living areas.
Caring for newborn babies
Cradles, bedding, clothes, baby care items and milk powder were given to a Girl’s Home near Kandy and the excess funds were used for repairing and baby-proofing older cradles.
