Donation of dry rations

Organised a medical & dental clinic at Abhirami Tamil school, for the Kelebokka estate community . Oral health education including brushing demonstrations, dental screening and treatments were offered for more than 200 children. Tooth brush and tooth paste was donated to each child. Made a cash donation to the “Senehasa Childrens Resource Centre” to provide spectacles and financial support to children in need at the centre. This centre is administered by senehasa foundation with the aim of offering therapeutic, educational and social support to children with special needs.

A joint project with Craft Group of Baptist Church Cleavlands, Brisbane, Australia. The beneficiaries from the plantation sector received blankets and dry rations. Craft group of Brisbane gifted 20 blankets and 30 hoodies.

Contribution towards the monthly payment of Rs.20 000 to the volunteer teacher helping the differently abled children at the Rehabilitation Hospital, Digana.

A fund raising cookery demonstration sponsored by Nestle Lanka was held. The objective of the project being to be a source of strength to the woman of low income families who can start a small business of their own. Proceeds of tickets to be in aid of charity.

Donated, much-needed items to the emergency dialysis unit of the National Hospital of Kandy are coordinated by the Kidney Protection Society. Items included milk powder, sugar, sanitary liquids, stationery.
