Oral Health Care Programme

The secretary of the club represented the club on invitation at a public meeting held at the “National Hospital” Kandy regarding awareness of tuberculosis which is rapidly spread in the Central Province.

Had their ongoing project of donation of school uniforms to ‘Child Action Lanka’ Kandy centre. 21 uniforms were distributed among year 1 & 2 students.

Donated, much-needed items to the emergency dialysis unit of the National Hospital of Kandy are coordinated by the Kidney Protection Society. Items included milk powder, sugar, sanitary liquids, stationery.

A fund raising cookery demonstration sponsored by Nestle Lanka was held. The objective of the project being to be a source of strength to the woman of low income families who can start a small business of their own. Proceeds of tickets to be in aid of charity.

Donated a laptop to a needy child.

Organized a medical camp in Minipe Divisional Secretariat Handaganawa. General checkup including kidney diseases screening and blood sugar testing, with free issue of medicine, oral health education programme together with dental check up and needed dental treatment for schooling children, eye check up with free issue of reading glasses and frames, awareness and screening for…
