Donation of an Artificial Limb

The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy Metropolitan donated an artificial limb to a person in need to commemorate the club’s anniversary.

Donation of uniforms

Had their ongoing project of donation of school uniforms to ‘Child Action Lanka’ Kandy centre. 21 uniforms were distributed among year 1 & 2 students.

The secretary of the club represented the club on invitation at a public meeting held at the “National Hospital” Kandy regarding awareness of tuberculosis which is rapidly spread in the Central Province.

Donation to the Senehasa Childrens Resource Centre

Made a cash donation to the “Senehasa Childrens Resource Centre” to provide spectacles and financial support to children in need at the centre. This centre is administered by senehasa foundation with the aim of offering therapeutic, educational and social support to children with special needs.

Donation to the Diabetes and Endocrine Unit

A cash donation was made to the Diabetes and Endocrine Unit of the National Hospital Kandy.

Turfed the Play Area of Tikiri Sevana Children’s Home, Uda Peradeniya

The Inner Wheel Club of Kandy Metropolitan turfed the play area of Tikiri Sevana Children’s Home in Bowalawatta Uda Peradeniya. Milk powder, fruits, pampers, rattles and a rocking chair were also donated.
