Donation of school shoes and socks
Donated school shoes and socks to 74 school children in Meemure, a very remote village in the Central Province, for use in the new school year.
Donation to Meewathura School
Donated stationery worth and other school related items to 30 poor children in Meewathura school before the start of the new school term.
Donation to 611 school children
Joined with the “Sleeping Children Around the World” Association of Canada and the Rotary Club of Kelaniya to give 611 school children from 11 schools in the Hunasgiriya area bedding, as well as school shoes and socks, school bags and books. Biscuits and milk for all 611 children and snacks for helpers were also provided.
Donation of artificial limb
Donates an artificial limb to a woman or girl through the Center for Handicapped People. The recipient of the limb this year was nine-year-old Dimalshi, who was born with a congenital deformity and who needs her artificial limb replaced each year as she outgrows the previous one.
Donation of sleeping kits

Joint tree planting project
Participated in the tree planting project done jointly by the Inner Wheel District 322 and Inner Wheel Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. 50 pepper vines were planted at a Children’s Home in Kandy.
Celebration of International Women’s Day
Celebrated International Women’s Day 2024 by creating its 4th Endowment Fund at the Centre for Handicapped in Kundasale. The interest generated by the Endowment will be used to gift an artificial limb to a woman or a girl on the 8th of March every year from now on.
District Project – Childhood Cancer
The Inner Wheel Clubs of Kandy, Kandy Metropolitan, Katugastota and Matale launched their District Project on Childhood Cancer by meeting with a little boy with leukemia and his mother and giving her the first month’s funds for his treatment. An additional cash donation is also donated to the family each month for other expenses.
Donation of Spectacles
Donated 23 pairs of custom-made prescription spectacles to students and staff members of a local school using high quality frames gifted by a member.
