Collaborating with the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society for plant funding and donations.
The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo joined hands with the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society (WNPS) in a meaningful reforestation initiative in Dickhena, Badurelliya.
As part of this project, which was one of the directives by International Inner Wheel, the IWCC donated and funded the planting, labour, and maintenance of 360 endemic trees, including local species such as rambutan, mango, durian, and jambu.
The member’s of the Inner Wheel Club of Colombo personally planted several trees, with the rest being nurtured and planted by the WNPS team. The aim of the project is to restore forest corridors and protect Sri Lanka’s natural heritage.
